Land Access Project (LAP)

VISION: Agricultural land regenerates biodiversity, resilience, and human joy.

Welcome to the Land Access Project!

Our mission is to conserve and enjoy land by creating new ownership, learning, and recreation pathways for working lands.

There is a synergy waiting to happen between farmers, ranchers, foresters, stewards and the rest of the nature-hungry public. We need each other, and we need mother nature.

And we need to shift land use practices towards conservation, rural economic development, and building long-term resilience and synergy between people and the lands that feed them.

And we should find joy doing it.

Our primary strategy is to raise funds to purchase land, protect it for farming and other sustainable practices, and provide farmers with accessible leases and cooperative business support. We also build in open space protections and basic public access, ensuring the land stays in relationship with the larger community around it.

Many Hands Make Light Work - Join Us!

We work from Mount Hood Farm near Dufur, Oregon. We want your ideas (and hands!) to continue the project of terraforming Mt Hood Farms 1462 acres of beautiful oak savannah and dry land pasture.
